Daren Swanson - Guitar and Vocals

Assisted by an acoustic guitar with no special effects, Daren conjures the sounds of rhythm, lead, bass and percussion with an acoustic guitar.  Swanson’s

fluid approach to playing, incorporating years in bands and as a solo artist, focuses on delivering as much as he can to the audience.  His unique bass-runs, aided by thumbing notes (you have to see this yourself) can render his sound to be like that of a 3-piece band.

In Alchemy Unplugged, Daren’s guitar work cradles Lisa’s voice while executing a carefully timed series of beats, strummed chords, musical leads, and bass movements.  Many have commented on how “effortlessly and easily” he seems to play his heavily worn Martin DC-28.
